NathaSja Tour 2018 Preparations

For Nathalie we went looking for an R1. With success.

Servicing the R1 from Nathalie in my garage and giving the bike full synthetic Putoline oil.

Together with Nathalie at the bike shop Felix & Jos for a headset and GPS.

It’s not really a preparation, but publicity is necessary too. Therefore, Nathalie and I have stickers made from the beautiful logo, designed by Thijs Wessels.

For the ‘NathaSja Tour 2018’ Nathalie and I visit companies whose products kept me save and helped making my previous adventures possible. Thanks all!

For the best suspension Nathalie and I go to Hyperpro. 

The ‘2001-2006 R1 Around the World Travel’ I started initially with standard suspension.

After I changed to Hyperpro, I noticed -on normal road, race track and off the beaten track- on what kind of camel I had ridden all those previous kilometres and decided “Never again”. 

My R1 is fitted with the OSCO chain oiler some 335,000km ago and it’s still working perfectly as it did since the start. 

During my around the world travel, I got 38,855km as an average out of a chain and sprocket set.

For that reason Nathalie’s R1 is gonna get one too!
